Kendra is Almost Ready! Have you pre-ordered?

Feedback is coming in!

Not only do the beta readers absolutely LOVE the first book of the Kendra's Conflict series, but so does the editor. Heartfelt Choices is not your typical love story, to be clear. Polyamory isn't how most of us are socialized. What readers can expect is another set of well-developed, complex, and interesting characters with a romantic plot that challenges expectations and comfort zones.

The book can be pre-ordered from Amazon and Eden Books using either of the following links and will automatically download on release day.

Book Blurb:

Do you believe that a woman can fall in love with two men at the same time?

Kendra has never believed that there is only one soul mate for each person because such a limitation never made sense. If all souls were created at one time and hanging around heaven waiting to be born, shouldn't everyone have multiple people that they click with—whether those are friends, family members, or lovers?

For Kendra, the problem is that she's in a committed relationship and the outside soul who grabs her attention is her boyfriend's cousin. She loves spending time with both men. The infatuation isn't really cheating because there is nothing sexual happening, except in her fantasies. But all of that is about to change ... and it's her boyfriend who starts the evolution of their relationship.

Polyamory wasn’t anything Kendra had ever considered. Could she do it? Did she want to?

NOTE: This book ends in a cliffhanger. It is the first book in the Kendra’s Conflict Series. Kendra’s story will be told over three full-length novels. The mature themes and language are sexually explicit and not recommended for young audiences or unadventurous readers.

A New Store for Sexy Books

If  you haven't visited Eden Books, you're missing out! The site has been around for about a year, but it is specifically dedicated to romance and women's fiction. Why? Well, because Amazon decided to mistreat our genres, especially indie authors, basically implying that our themes promote violence against women and initiating all kinds of censorship that decreased our visibility, rankings, and sales. So, Eden Books was created to give us a platform with flexibility and respect. The creator is a wonderful and brilliant woman!

I finally got around to opening my store on Eden Books and uploaded the complete Club Starburst Series. Josie Carver's Sexy Stories is the name of my store and will be a fun place to buy all my naughty books. The new series with all of Kendra's delicious drama will be there, and you'll even be able to pre-order all the books. Yeah, I'll still have them on Amazon, but the royalties will be DOUBLE for me and the price will be the same for you if you swing over to Eden Books to download them. If safety is your concern, all purchases are handled through PayPal, where the site never has access to your credit card or bank information. So, it's a great place for all of us.

Everything is on track for the first book in the Kendra's Conflict series to get a pre-order link in April. In the meantime, browse the site, have your friends who didn't read about Damon and his club download the Club Starburst Series from Eden, and discover all the amazing authors who have books there. You'll also have groups to join and other interesting opportunities. I think we're going to like it there!

New Year and New Logo

Hello Readers! How do you like the new logo?

I have lots of plans for 2020. You've already seen the covers and blurbs for the Kendra's Conflict series, and the first book will be released in June. You can expect to see this new logo on social media posts and ads at various times throughout the coming months. You can also look forward to excerpts and eventually purchase links as I set each book up for pre-orders. Please remember to sign up for the newsletter so that you will be able to read uncensored excerpts that can't be posted on public forums.

If you haven't already read my debut, best-selling Club Starburst Series, you can find those books in my online catalog. Cassandra's Unveiling, Safe and Sane, and The Dom's Destiny each stand alone but tie a group of like-minded characters together in their three distinct story lines.

Damon wanted a BDSM club where African-Americans could safely explore the sexual pleasures that come with healthy power exchanges. There's no promoting torture, degradation, or unsafe practices in this series; it instead focuses on what the Dominant/submissive interactions are meant to be. If you're tired of reading about abuse disguised as consent or if you're curious about what might attract People of Color to this alternative lifestyle, you really might enjoy one or all of the themes explored.

Well, I guess I should get back to work. Be on the lookout for those excerpts! And as always, thanks for all of your support.

Sneak Peak at the Sexy Series Coming in 2020

Hello Everyone,

Only the people who are subscribed to this blog and my newsletter get to see this exciting news! Here are the covers and blurbs for the books that will be released in 2020. Enjoy.

Kendra’s Conflict: Heartfelt Choices

Who truly believes that you cannot fall in love with two men at the same time?

Kendra’s Conflict: Facing Challengers

When Alonzo first imagined a three-way relationship between him, his girlfriend Kendra, and his cousin Carlos, he tried to anticipate what everyone would need. Kendra and Carlos required different approaches in order to be convinced, but patience and planning won them over. Now for the hard part: sticking to a plan that the others don't fully know while juggling the explosion of conflicting emotions and challenges from everyone around them.

Kendra definitely feels connected to both men in ways that reassure her of the rightness of the choice they’ve made. But she also knows that she's the one who has the most to lose if the relationship goes wrong. Her plans for a career and family are at stake in addition to it always being the woman who bears the biggest brunt of outsiders’ reactions and judgments. Even her family members are troubled in ways that she isn’t certain can be overcome.

Carlos shows himself to be Kendra’s protector and champion. He’s equally as committed to Alonzo and protecting the reasons polyamory seemed like such a perfect idea. But can his role be enough to fulfill him and also smooth the path the trio has allowed Alonzo to put them on?

Kendra’s Conflict: The Courage to Choose

Carlos has always trusted his cousin. Alonzo is brilliant, fair, and thorough. Is he right, though? Was a polyamorous relationship the perfect solution for these three soul mates? Yes, Carlos fell in love with Kendra despite all of his efforts to fight that instant attraction, but nothing changes the fact that she was Alonzo's woman first. Now, Carlos hopes that the trio can find the right balance within their complex love because every new twist seems to bring tougher challenges. All he wants is to face them without flinching and to be the man Kendra needs.

Alonzo has a reputation for being confident because he’s intuitive, analytical, and intelligent. He doesn’t usually make big mistakes. Still, insecurities poke holes in his normally strong personality as he watches the bond he encouraged grow stronger between Kendra and Carlos. Is his place in her life in jeopardy? Alonzo has taken the largest gamble of his life, and only determination is keeping him moving in a direction that might cause him to lose everything his heart wants.

Kendra trusts Alonzo, but his strategies didn't adequately consider the many adjustments she would have to make in this polyamorous relationship. Still, none of his oversights impact how much she loves him. What does matter is that she senses his increasing anxiety over her deepening love for Carlos and knows a choice is on the horizon—not which man to love but which path for all of them to take. When it comes to romance, Kendra naturally prefers being submissive, especially to Alonzo. Can she avoid being the one to redefine the vision for the trio?

With each of them having questions and concerns, will they successfully overcome the most difficult obstacles? Will they be able to turn this unconventional love into the happiness and fulfillment each of them desire?

Do they truly have the courage to try?

NOTE: The first two books will end in cliffhangers, so the release dates will be fairly close together. Exact dates have not yet been decided, but the books will go on Pre-Order status and I will provide links as soon as that happens. My first priority is always to assure that you will have quality products. Thank you for your continued support. Stay tuned ...

Back on Track

Hi Everyone!

Wow! It's been a long time since I posted on this site. Let me tell you a bit about what's been going on. Life and a few health issues kept me from writing for most of the past couple of years, so I didn't get a chance to do much after releasing my debut series in 2017. I hope you enjoyed the Club Starburst Series because I had a lot of fun writing it.

Last year, I participated in NaNoWriMo to start a new book for you. If you've never heard of that, it's National Novel Writing Month and it's a challenge to write a 50,000-word novel during the 30 days of November. Well, I got a book done that I'm calling Kendra's Conflict (for now), except this story really can't be told in that amount of words. It's definitely going to be a duet. The problem is that I hadn't been able to write consistently since last fall and didn't do much more than proofread through book one and outline book two. Well, I'm feeling better and planning on writing that second book during this year's NaNoWriMo challenge. I'm very excited!

I debated whether to release this book as erotica or contemporary romance. Erotica won because the relationship is so non-traditional that I'm not confident the story would be well-received by the contemporary romance crowd. Polyamory isn't something most people understand or want to explore, and that's where our characters find themselves without any of them ever previously having envisioned that lifestyle as an option. I can't wait to roll out this story from all three perspectives!

Well, I'm off to continue my preparations for next week's launch of the NaNo challenge. Wish me luck! Feel free to drop me a line at josie.carver.erotica@gmail.com or visit my Facebook page any time. Thanks for all of your wonderful support.
